At first I thought it's just a sexist joke. But now I think he really means it. I mean, really. Check out his face.

The cleric did make headlines here because of his 'interesting' knowledge of seismology.

You know I'm not really a feminist. I don't have a bra to burn. But let's get this straight, this is just WRONG.

We Malaysians have had our share of similar, but less extreme sexist religious crackheads. Still remember the group that suggested schoolgirls become rape victims because of their white uniform? The well-known cleric who implied that rape victims who dress 'inappropriately' are to be blamed for the rape?

And let's not forget the Australian Mufti who suggested that such women are like 'uncovered meat'.

Sometimes I wonder; if these people will ever stop seeing women as mere sexual objects, and if they can see men as something more evolved than sex-deprived carnal beasts. And I wonder how much longer are we going to let them dominate our Minbars. How much longer?
